DEBRIS DROPOFF LOCATIONS after widespread storm damage in Omaha

(Omaha, NE) -- The City of Omaha has set up several drop-off locations open Saturday and Sunday for storm debris.

  • Ta Ha Zouka Park in Elkhorn
  • Hefflinger Park at 112th and Maple
  • CLOSED Towl Park, 93rd and Center
  • CLOSED Parking lot at 156th and F
  • Levi Carter Park (concrete boat ramp area, enter east side of the park)
  • Al Veys field - 6506 S 60th St

The City of Omaha says the drop off locations are only for tree limbs and other debris caused by the storms last weekend. Once the collection sites close, the debris will be ground into mulch.

The locations will be open through Saturday July 17, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

  • Bellevue at the old landfill site at Cedar Island Road & Rose Lane
  • Council Bluffs at the Recycling Center at 4441 Gifford Road Saturday 8 am - 3 pm, Weekdays 8 am - 6 pm
  • Plattsmouth at the city recycling center on the East end of Main Street
  • Cass County brush facility at Mynard
  • Papillion La Vista at Papillion Public Works 9909 Portal Rd Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Weekdays 6:30 am to 2:30 pm
