(Des Moines, Iowa) -- The Dam to DSM takes place on Saturday, August 28th.
The race runs from the Saylorville Dam to Cowles Commons in downtown Des Moines. The course is a 20k just shy of half a marathon.
The race runs the course of the Dam to Dam race, which took place for 39 years in Des Moines before being retired in 2018.
Michael Zimmerman with Dam to DSM says Saturday's race is the next iteration of the popular race and is continuing the tradition of running the route from the Saylorville Dam to downtown.
