(Spirit Lake, IA) -- The Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation is preserving 50 acres of land on the shore of East Lake Okoboji.
The foundation announced the purchase earlier this week, saying it spent eight-point-two-million dollars on the land to preserve it and keep it undeveloped.
The purchase is expected to be finalized by the end of the year.
