(Jasper County, IA) -- The largest employer in Jasper County is letting over 700 employees go. It was confirmed on Monday that TPI Composites will end wind blade production at the facility on December 31st.
General Electric had been TPI’s main customer, but it hadn’t ordered any wind blades for 2022. The company says only a handful of employees will be retained at the facility, and that about 700 will be let go.
