(Des Moines, IA) -- Des Moines has felt its first freezing temperatures at 31-degrees early Monday morning. Which has some people wondering when the first snow will be? National Weather Service Meteorologist Chad Hahn tells WHO Radio News the average day Des Moines sees snow is by November 14th. Hahn says as of now, it's not likely we'll see snow before the 14th. He says the earliest Des Moines saw snow was on October 10th of 2009. The latest was right after Christmas on December 26th, 1939. Hahn says at least 1/10 of an inch of snow or more has to stick to count.
