Ames and Story County November 2, 2021 ELECTION RESULTS

(Ames, IA) -- Many Story County communities, including Ames, have competitive races for City Council and School Board seats to be decided by voters on Election Day, Tuesday November 2, 2021. Only two Story County Cities have competitive Mayor's races: McCallburg and Zearing.

City races are listed first, followed by a list of School Board races.

Polls close at 8:00 p.m. and results will be posted as they come in on the Story County Auditor's website CLICK HERE.

Ames City Council seats go to Amber Corrieri, Gloria Betcher and Anita Rollins.

Betcher ran unopposed as an incumbent in Ward 1, while newcomer Rollins faced a last-minute write-in opponent in Ward 3. Corrieri won re-lection to her At-Large seat.

Ames Mayor John Haila won a second term in an unopposed race.

Ames School Board saw seven opponents run in a hotly-contested race for three open seats. Amy Erica Smith, Kelly Winfrey, and Brett Becker all won four-year terms.
