(Des Moines, IA) -- U.S. Congresswoman Cindy Axne [[AX-nee]] is working from home this week after getting hurt at a Des Moines area dog park. Axne’s office says her dog Addie and another dog were playing at the dog park and ran full speed into her legs, injuring Axne’s knee.
Axne says it was like being hit by two furry linebackers.
She says she has a partially torn knee ligament, and her doctor wants the leg immobilized so it can heal. Axne Tweeted a picture of herself working from home, with her dog Addie laying nearby.
