Biden describes the report that the Attorney General plans to pay Illegals $450,000 each as "garbage", but according to ACLU Executive Director Anthony D. Romero in a statement the President "may not have been fully briefed about the actions of his very own Justice Department as it carefully deliberated and considered the crimes committed against thousands of families separated from their children as an intentional governmental policy."

Here's what we know. The Wall Street Journal reported that DOJ, Homeland Security and Health and Human Services are considering $450,000 payments for each illegal who crossed the border and was separated from family members while the Trump Administration enforced its zero tolerance policy. The ACLU sued and the payments would be part of a settlement.

No wonder Ben Franklin looks worried!

Now a Bill will be introduced today designed to stop such payments even though when questioned yesterday, President Biden said the story was "garbage".

"$450,000 per person, is that what you’re saying?" he said. "That’s not going to happen," he said in answer to a question from Fox News' Peter Doocy.

According to Fox News, "Rep. Tom McClintock, the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Immigration and Citizenship, will introduce the Illegal Immigration Payoff Prohibition Act, which amends 18 USC 2414 – which gives the attorney general the authority to enter settlement agreements."
