Miller-Meeks To Run For Iowa's Newly-Drawn 1st Congressional District

(Davenport, IA) -- Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks says she will run for re-election in Iowa's newly-drawn 1st Congressional District. The Republican currently represents the 2nd District. The new 1st District includes most of the counties in the current 2nd district.

It appears Miller-Meeks will have a primary race. A Bettendorf Republican has announced he intends to run for Congress in the new 1st District. Kyle Kuehl is a combat veteran who served in the Iowa National Guard.

Democratic State Representative Christina Bohannan of Iowa City is also running for the seat.
