(Altoona, IA) -- The State of Iowa releases its report on this summer’s deadly accident at Adventureland in Altoona. Eleven-year-old Michael Jaramillo died on July 3rd when a raft on the Raging River ride flipped over and trapped him underneath. State inspectors say they found 17 safety violations on the ride and eleven issues that need to be fixed before the ride can reopen. Adventureland released a statement Thursday saying the state’s report is factually incorrect. Adventureland says if there were issues with the ride then they would’ve been there when a state inspector signed off on its safety ahead of the accident.
