Urbandale Woman Arrested, Accused of Biting Gas Station Employee

(Urbandale, Iowa) -- Urbandale police say a woman is in custody after biting a gas station attendant.

Police say 38-year old Amber Revell of Jefferson was arrested after assaulting a clerk around 2:45 Saturday morning at the Kum & Go in the 6900 block of Douglas Avenue. Officers say when they arrived at the gas station, they found Revell actively biting the clerk, injuring his hand, chest, and stomach. Police say Revell smelled of alcohol, resisted and assaulted officers during her arrest, and refused to take a breathalyzer test.

She's facing the following charges:

  • Assault Causing Bodily Injury
  • Assault on Peace Officers
  • Interference with Official Acts
  • Criminal Mischief
  • Consumption
