Iowa man wanted in Nebraska, accused of threatening politicians

(Lincoln, NE) -- A warrant has been issued for an Iowa man accused of threatening dozens of Nebraska politicians.

Details of the arrest warrant for 35-year-old Thomas Blobaum of Creston, in Southwestern Iowa, says he has sent threatening emails claiming he was wrongfully prosecuted in Nebraska.

The Nebraska State Patrol says Blobaum threatens the judge who heard his case, as well as Governor Pete Ricketts, U.S. Senator Ben Sasse, multiple state lawmakers, the Mayor of Lincoln, police officers, and the Sheriff's office in the email.

Blobaum was convicted in Lancaster County, Nebraska in January of violating a harassment protection order.
