Four Alarm Omaha Fire Investigation Continues

Fire Investigators will continue to try and find the cause of the four alarm fire at an unfinished apartment building in southwest Omaha.

The fire was called in early Sunday morning near 144th Street and Applied Parkway, between Pacific Street and West Dodge Road, west of 144th.

A passerby spotted the fire on the roof, and the fire department says the fire spread quickly through the building.

Just like in battling the fire, high winds are impacting the investigation because of concerns of building collapse.

The roof did cave in earlier as crews spent seven hours bringing the fire under control, using 88 firefighters;

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries.
