Arrest Made In Omaha Weekend Assault

An initial court appearance will be next for a person under arrest in connection with a weekend shooting in Omaha.

Police say they were called to the area of 25th and Ames Avenue late Saturday night, and officers found a male party down in the street with a gunshot wound to the chest.

He was taken by paramedics to a hospital with what turned out to be non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators say a female suspect was located at the scene and taken into custody.

Police say 40-year old Stacey Webb was later booked into Douglas County Corrections for 2nd Degree Domestic Violence Assault, Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony, and Unlawful Discharge of a Weapon.
