Cedar Rapids School District Holding Open Houses On Bond Issue

(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The Cedar Rapids Community School District is holding several open houses to inform the community about next year's bond vote. Next March Cedar Rapids School District voters will decide whether the district should spend $312-million to update schools, build a new middle school, and build an aquatic center. The plan would raise property taxes from zero to $2.70 per $1,000 of property value. Open houses will be held at these locations:

August 29th

4:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.

Jefferson High School–IMC

September 1st: Virtual Session

12:00 p.m.–2:00 p.m.
