(Iowa City, IA) -- 8-year-old Eve Jimenez from Davenport is being named the Kid Captain for the Iowa vs. Nevada game.
Eve survived a rare autoimmune disorder as a 4-year-old and is now battling the condition again. She's receiving infusion treatments from the UI Stead Family Children's Hospital to suppress her immune system. More about Eve's story can be found here.
Eve's song of choice for the Hawkeye Wave is "Believer" by Imagine Dragons. Iowa takes on Nevada on Saturday, September 17th at 6:30 pm.
