East Moline Police Officer Enters Rehab After Being Assaulted By A Suspect

(East Moline, IL) -- An East Moline police officer is out of the hospital, and now in rehab after being assaulted by a suspect while on duty.

Sergeant William Lind was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries in late October.

Body cam footage shows 52-year-old Adrian Rogers attacked Lind, leaving him unconscious with injuries to the head.

Rogers was wanted in an arson that damaged a Rock Island home, and now faces attempted murder charges.

Sergeant Lind was released from the hospital yesterday, and is recovering at a residential rehabilitation facility.
