Iowa) -- Neither the Iowa Hawkeyes nor the Kentucky Wildcats will have their starting quarterbacks when the teams play at the Music City Bowl.

Kentucky starting quarterback Will Levis posted on social media that he will not play at the Music City Bowl to instead prepare for the NFL Draft. Iowa starting quarterback Spencer Petras will not play due to an injury, and backup quarterback Alex Padilla will not play after entering the transfer portal. Either redshirt freshman Joe Labas or true freshman Carson May will start for the Hawkeyes in Nashville on New Year's Eve.
