Omaha Police say 41-year old Ontonio Payne was wounded at 43rd and Grant Streets early Tuesday.
Officers went to the scene around 12:20 a.m. and found Payne with a gunshot wound.
Omaha Fire Department paramedics took Payne to a hospital in serious condition for treatment of what is now considered a non-life threatening injury.
