Teen Arrested In NE, Accused Of Murdering Mom, Extradited To TX

(Harris County, TX) -- A Texas teen arrested in Nebraska, accused of killing his mother, is back in Texas.

18-year-old Tyler Roenz was extradited and booked into a Harris County, Texas jail this week. He was arrested by the Nebraska State Patrol in October. Police found the body of 49-year-old Michelle Roenz in the trunk of the car her son was driving.

He's charged with murder, unauthorized use of a vehicle, tampering with evidence, and attempted sexual assault.

Roenz will appear in court next week.
