Partial Ceiling Collapse At Omaha Ice Rink

Clean up and damage assessment begin after part of a ceiling collapsed at "Grover Ice" in Omaha, a privately owned skating facility which is at 61st and Grover Streets.

Youth hockey players were practicing, and once coaches noticed water coming down out of a light fixture Monday evening they cleared everyone off the ice shortly before a section dropped onto the rink.

There were no injuries reported.

The collapse was possibly caused by a broken pipe in the building's sprinkler system.
