(Muscatine, IA) -- Muscatine County is the third county in the state to introduce live stream calls with 911 dispatchers.
The county plans to launch the program ‘Prepared Live’ on Friday.
People will be able to video call 911 dispatchers with safety features such as blacking out the screen so possible perpetrators will think their phone is off.
Muscatine county received over 15,000 911 calls last year, and the live stream can help dispatchers better understand the situation.
