Iowa State Patrol Supports Hand-Free Driving Legislation

(Des Moines, IA) -- A bill ready for debate in the Iowa Senate would ban using your phone while driving, unless its out of your hands.

Iowa State Patrol Sergeant Alex Dinkla tells Iowa's News Now that the proposal could save lives, because it only takes a second to cause a crash.

The state House has its own version of the bill, but is yet to move on the measure.
