Fans To Welcome Iowa Hawkeye Women's Basketball Team

(Iowa City, IA) -- Fans will greet the University of Iowa women's basketball team this (Monday) afternoon. A welcome home event will be held at Coralville's Iowa River Landing at 3:15. The Athletics Department says they're also planning a future celebration to honor the team's Final Four run and N-C-Double-A runner-up finish.

Fans are encouraged to park in the South Lot, where parking will be free. The South Lot is the traditional FRY Fest parking lot.

The No. 2 Seed Iowa lost to 3-Seed LSU, 102-85 Sunday in the National Championship.

National Player of the Year, Caitlin Clark, recorded her fourteenth 30-point game, finishing with 30 points, eight assists, and two rebounds. Monika Czinano finished with 13 points and 6 rebounds in her final game as a Hawkeye. Kate Martin had 13 points and six assists, while McKenna Warnock ended with nine points and six rebounds her last game. Gabbie Marshall had 12 points, going 2-for-3 from behind the arc.
