(Omaha, NE) -- A motorcyclist is dead after a crash on a West Dodge Road overpass in West Omaha.
Police say just before 7:00 Monday morning, 22 year old Ty Rannals was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on 132nd Street, approaching Dodge Street, when a northbound semi with a trailer attempted to turn onto the westbound on-ramp of Dodge St. Investigators say Rannals' motorcycle hit the semi trailer. Rannals was taken to Bergan Mercy with life-saving measures in progress. Police say he died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
The semi-driver, 32 year old Corey Johnston of Bellevue, was cited for misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide.
