Krause Group Selling Kum & Go Stores

DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Des Moines-based parent company of Kum and Go is selling the convenience store chain.

The Krause Group says it's selling it's 400 stores in 13 states to Salt Lake City-based F-J Management, which owns the Maverik - Adventure’s First Stop stores.

The price of the sale has not been disclosed.

The sale gives Maverik - Adventure’s First Stop more than 800 stores across West, Midwest, and Pacific Northwest and Desert Southwest.

Kum and Go was started in 1959 in Hampton, Iowa.

Neither company is saying if the Kum and Go stores will be rebranded.
