Central Iowa Teacher Dead After Crash, Rollover In Dallas County

(Dallas County, IA) -- A Central Iowa high school is bringing in grief counselors, after a teacher's death in a crash. The Dallas County Sheriffs' Office says 39-year-old Chad Morman's truck crashed early Saturday morning on Highway 141 west of Perry. Morman taught Industrial Technology at Perry High School.

Dallas County Deputies, Dallas County EMS and Woodward First Responders were dispatched to a single vehicle fatality accident in the 25000 block of Highway 141 around 2 o'clock Saturday morning, April 23rd.

Deputies found a 2013 F-250 with severe damage that had rolled several times and came to a stop in a field on the north side of Highway 141. Deputies found the driver, who had not been wearing a seatbelt, north of the vehicle itself. 

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
