(Marengo, IA) -- The Environmental Protection Agency will oversee the cleanup of the C6-Zero site in Marengo after the Iowa Department of Natural Resources requested help.

An explosion at the plant on December 8th injured a dozen people and forced people to evacuate their homes.

The EPA says it'll still work with local, state, and tribal partners while taking over the cleanup.
