Progress Made On Nebraska Wildfire

A wildfire at the Nebraska National Forest in Halsey in north central Nebraska is 50 percent contained, according to the latest report Thursday night.

Regional firefighters in Thomas County say the fire had already burned more than 22-hundred acres.

There are no injuries reported to this point, and the cause is under investigation.

Last October, a fire at that location destroyed 16 out of 17 buildings at the forest's 4-H camp.
