Iowa at risk of severe storms with hail, high winds, tornadoes Sunday

(Des Moines, IA) -- Severe storms are looking likely in Iowa today, according to the National Weather Service, with much of the state upgraded to Elevated severe storm risk.

The timing Sunday is late afternoon and night.

Damaging winds, large hail and a few tornadoes are possible across the region.
