(Iowa City, IA) -- Eight Tippie College of Business students at The University of Iowa finished a project this spring: a nationwide 211 directory.

The website reads:

"211 is a three-digit phone number used for non-emergency health and human services information and referral to local resources (i.e., food assistance programs, housing assistance, employment support, legal help)."

Starting as a pilot program with the Iowa City VA Hospital in the fall of 2021, the effort grew into its current form.

"This site is intended to help you find services and resources in your community that improve your overall health and well-being."
