(Davenport, IA) -- A new study shows the benefits of urban tree planting in the Quad Cities.

The data from Climate Central says nearly three million pounds of air pollution a year was absorbed by trees in the Quad Cities, helping keep the air cleaner.

The study also shows about 69 million gallons of storm runoff water was avoided and more than 100-thousand tons of carbon pollution was removed from the air per year.
