(Des Moines, IA) -- A new study shows the benefits of urban trees in Des Moines.

The data from Climate Central says nearly three million pounds of air pollution a year was absorbed by trees in Des Moines.

The study also shows about 92 million gallons of storm runoff water was avoided and more than 100-thousand tons of carbon pollution was removed from the air every year.
