The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services investigates an inmate death.
Corrections says 84-year-old Donald Lichtenberg died at a hospital in Lincoln after being treated for a medical condition.
Lichtenberg was serving an 18-to-24-year sentence at the Reception and Treatment Center in Lincoln for attempted first-degree sexual assault of a child out of Douglas County.
Under Nebraska law, a grand jury will investigate.
