Omaha Police Offer Devices To Stop Kia/Hyundai Thefts

The thefts are now so commonplace, Omaha Police offer free steering wheel locks to Kia and Hyundai owners.

Police say hundreds of those car models have been stolen over the past year thanks to viral social media videos of how to steal them.

The locks are available at downtown Omaha Central Police Headquarters every day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A photo ID and vehicle registration are required.
