15 Years Since Historic Flooding on the Cedar River

(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- It's been fifteen years since record flooding on The Cedar River in Cedar Rapids.

The river crested just over 31 feet on June 13th, 2008, the first time the water rose over 20 feet ever.

Around 1,300 homes and businesses were destroyed by the flooding.

The Cedar River rose over 20 feet for the second time in 2016 to just under 30 feet.
