(Undated) -- The final hearing for a carbon capture pipeline in Iowa has been moved to August.

Opponents of Summit Carbon Solutions' proposed pipeline asked the Iowa Utilities Board to delay the hearing until after the harvest season during a press conference on Tuesday.

They say the IUB is accelerating the process, and quieting the opposition.

The pipeline is one of three projects proposed in the state and would run through northwest, western, and north-central Iowa.

None of the projects have been approved to build yet.
