Police Release Name Of Person Killed In Omaha Traffic Crash

Omaha Police accident investigators continue to look into a fatal crash at 112th and West Maple Road, and release the name of the person who died: 38-year old Kasia Richardson of Omaha.

They say she was driving a Ford Fusion eastbound Tuesday afternoon attempting to make a left turn onto northbound Emmett Street when the Ford was struck by a westbound Chevy Suburban, with both vehicles coming to rest on the northwest corner of the intersection.

Police say Kasia Richardson, an unrestrained driver, was rushed to a hospital by Omaha Fire paramedics with life saving measures in progress.

She died shortly after arrival.

Three people in the Chevy were hospitalized with serious injuries.

Investigators say the driver of the Chevy was identified as 17-year old Laik Young of Blair.
