Gov. Reynolds Settles Open Records Lawsuits For $175K

(Des Moines, IA) -- Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds settles three lawsuits for $175,000 in state funds.

The lawsuits came after Reynolds' office failed to respond to journalists' requests for public records.

Members of the media and the Freedom of Information Council sued the governor's office for ignoring multiple public records requests for more than a year.

The Iowa Supreme Court said it was an "unreasonable delay."

State Auditor Rob Sand voted against using taxpayer dollars to settle two of the lawsuits.
