Iowa DNR Seeking Wild Turkey Counters

(Undated) -- The Iowa Department of Natural Resources needs some help, counting wild turkey. Each year during July and August, the

D-N-R records wild turkey sightings, to help estimate nesting rates and success. Counters just need to jot down the date and county where the turkey was seen, if it was an adult female or adult male (males have beards on their breast), and how many poults (baby turkeys) were nearby.
