Omaha Fire investigators say errant fireworks accidentally cause two fires on Independence Day.
They say a detached garage near 10th and Hickory Streets was on fire Tuesday evening with a nearby house threatened.
Investigators say a large number of fireworks and several propane tanks were stored inside the garage with the fireworks going off.
The garage was destroyed, but the house was not damaged.
No injuries reported;
Fire Investigators say fireworks landing on a wooden deck accidentally caused a house fire in northwest Omaha.
The fire was early Tuesday evening near 94th and Spaulding Streets, and it was quickly brought under control.
There were no injuries;
The fire department says the place was being renovated and there was no one inside.
Damage estimated at about 12-thousand dollars;
