New Information In Fatal Eastern Nebraska Crash

The Cass County, Nebraska Sheriff's office says alcohol is believed to be a factor in a two vehicle crash that killed four men in one vehicle as investigators identify those involved and release more details.

The crash was Tuesday night at 238th and Church Road in Greenwood.

Witnesses tell investigators a sedan driven by 34-year old Hugo Buendia-Valverde of Lincoln, was westbound on Church Road, failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of 238th and Church Road, and was hit by a southbound Ford F250.

Investigators say the Ford was driven by 22-year old Justin Wiederen of Omaha.

A Deputy reported one passenger, identified as 28-year old Ricardo Jiminez-Beltran, had been thrown from the sedan and was pronounced dead.

The driver, Buendia-Valverde, was still in the driver's seat and was pronounced deceased.

A male passenger in the back seat identified as 39-year old Alejandro Valverde-Jiminez was also pronounced dead at the scene.

Paramedics say they removed the front seat passenger, identified as 40-year old Isaac Valverde-Arroyo, who had a faint pulse, but he passed away before being rushed to a hospital.

Investigators say Justin Wideren, who was given a preliminary breath test by state troopers with a readout of .000, was taken to a hospital for a blood test.

An autopsy has been requested by the County Attorney for Hugo Buendia-Valverde.

The sheriff says the four who died were believed to be not wearing seat belts.
