Two Near-Drowning Victims Rescued In Northern Iowa

(Arnolds Park, Iowa) -- First responders rescued two men from West Lake Okoboji on the Independence Day holiday. Crews were called to Miller's Bay yesterday (Tuesday) for a drowning man despite multiple attempts to rescue him. Divers found 21-year-old Randy Vilayphone man, began CPR, and took him to the hospital.

A few hours later, crews were called to a second near-drowning at Arnolds Park City Beach. Bystanders rescued 22-year-old Atem Kiir and started CPR. First responders took over and took him to the hospital.

Both men are from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Their conditions are unknown.
