WalletHub: Iowa Among Top Ten Most Expensive States for Energy Bills

(Iowa) -- A new national survey ranks Iowa among the top ten most energy-expensive states in the country.

WalletHub's recent survey says Iowa is the 8th most expensive state in the nation for energy costs. According to the national survey, including all 50 states and Washington, D.C., Iowans pay an average of $552 dollars per month on energy costs including electricity, home heating oil, natural gas, and gasoline. The survey ranks Wyoming as the most expensive state in the nation for energy and Washington, D.C. as the cheapest place for energy costs.
