Davenport Approves $650,000 For Apartment Collapse Cleanup, Investigation

(Davenport, IA) -- The Davenport City Council approves spending $650,000 to clean up the 324 Main Street apartment collapse and investigate the cause. $500,000 will go toward the cleanup and $150,000 will be paid to the firm SOCOTEC Engineering, Inc., which will investigate what caused the collapse. The city says reports from the firm will help with the lawsuit against the owner of the building.
