Man Arrested For Double Homicide In Northwest Omaha

(Omaha, NE) -- A man's arrested in connection with a double homicide in Northwest Omaha. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called to do a welfare check at a home near 89th Court and Sorensen Parkway around 9:00 p.m. Thursday where they found two women dead. The victims are identified as 30-year-old Marquesha Cannon and 55-year-old Lisa Cannon. The sheriff's office says 22-year-old Fernandez Mason was later arrested and charged with two counts of 1st-degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown. This case is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office tip line at 402-444-6000.
