Wildfire Smoke Creating Unhealthy Air Across Central Iowa

(Des Moines, IA) -- Canadian wildfire smoke continues to foul the air across much of Iowa today.

The smoke is creating unhealthy air quality for everyone across central Iowa from Sioux City to Des Moines and Cedar Rapids to Davenport.

The National Weather Service says the smoke is expected to begin clearing up this morning, likely north-to-south across the state.

Conditions should be improved by around 12 p.m.
