(Des Moines, IA) -- The Animal Rescue League of Iowa is reporting large number of pet adoptions after a weekend pet adoption event.
The ARL says 155 pets were adopted over 3 days, including 81 dogs and puppies. The ARL had recently taken in a large number of dogs rescued from unsanitary conditions. The shelter says the adoptions will open up needed kennel space for more animals.
