(Undated) -- The trial of a man accused of kidnapping and killing a girl in Davenport is moving back to Scott County. Henry Dinkins' jury trial was to begin today (Tuesday) in Linn County, but Dinkins has opted for a bench trial instead. Dinkins' trial was originally moved out of Scott County because of local media coverage. He is charged with kidnapping Breasia Terrell.

Terrell was reported missing in July of 2020 after spending the night at Dinkins' house. Dinkins' is the father of Terrell's half-brother.

Breasia Terrell's body was found in Dewitt in March of 2021.

Dinkins has been in custody since Terrell was reported missing after he did not report his address to the sex offender registry.

Investigators had considered him a person of interest in the case, but he was not charged with Terrell's murder until May of 2021.
