Davenport Man Behind Bars For Child Pornography

(Davenport, IA) -- A Davenport man will be in jail for 30 years for child pornography.

43-year-old William Richard Trudell was identified as a person of interest by police after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a cyber tip.

According to a news release, an email address linked Trudell to the crime when a tip to law enforcement from the MeWe social media platform reported that images of child pornography had been uploaded.

Davenport Police searched Trudell’s house and found hundreds of images of child pornography.

The investigation also showed he had been producing pictures and videos of himself sexually abusing a minor over a three year period.

Once his 30 year prison term is complete, Trudell must serve eight years of supervised release with no chance for parol.
